My Reading List for 2103

Last year I realised that for many years that I hadn't been reading much fiction. I had read lots of homeschooling resources and learning books but no really good fiction.

So after reading about a few people who compile book lists at the beginning of the year I decided to give it a go. I keep the list in my planner and it is so much easier to pop into the library (or grab something for the kindle) if I know exactly what I wanted. It also meant that I was not wasting my limited reading time on trash.

Last years book list worked really well and I managed to read a couple of really good books. Some from the list and some not. I didn't manage to get through the whole list, our library doesn't have the best selection and was not prepared to pay $20 - $30 to read a book. Let's hope I have better luck in 2013, especially now that I have a kindle.

Here's my list for 2013 ... in no specific order ...

  2. What a great idea making a book list. I often bookmark Kindle books on my computer so I can come back and have another look when I want something to read. I was getting too impulsive, buying everything I saw, and then not reading them. I have a few books waiting to be read. Okay... a lot of books!! I love my Kindle. I bet you love yours too!

I know I am not going to be able to resist. I just have to investigate some of the books on your list, regardless of the fact I have a million half finished books of my own. I keep hearing "Life of Pi". Perhaps that's the one I want next!

    God bless.

    1. I do think kindles are great but they can never replace a "real" book, especially as I sneak off to the bathroom for a soak and a read. I was told my a friend to pop the kindle in a zip lock bag so I could read it in the bath ... lol

I also happen to like the smell of a book ... wierd huh? :)
